Galaxie Farm

Gallifrey has sold the Galaxie Farm subdivision to Riverbend Development, Inc.

Dr. mae jemison

Mae Jemison Lane

Bio:

Mae Carol Jemison is an American engineer, physician, and former NASA astronaut. She was the first Black woman to travel to space when she served as a mission specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992.

Vera Rubin Road

Bio:

Vera Florence Cooper Rubin was an American astronomer who pioneered work on galaxy rotation rates, which led to the discovery of evidence of the existence of dark matter. Although initially met with skepticism, Rubin's results were confirmed over subsequent decades. Her legacy was described by The New York Times as "ushering in a Copernican-scale change" in cosmological theory.

Mary Jackson Drive

Bio:

Mary Jackson was an American mathematician and aerospace engineer at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), which was succeeded by NASA. She started as a computer at the segregated West Area Computing division in 1951. She took advanced engineering classes and, in 1958, became NASA's first Black female engineer.

After 34 years at NASA, Jackson had earned the most senior engineering title available. She realized she could not earn further promotions without becoming a supervisor. She accepted a demotion to become a manager of both the Federal Women's Program, in the NASA Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and of the Affirmative Action Program, influencing the hiring and promotion of women in NASA's science, engineering, and mathematics careers.

Marie Curie was a physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and the only woman to win the Nobel Prize twice, and the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two different scientific fields.
